Employment Services

Laradon’s Adult Host Home program provides individualized living situations to people who can benefit from living in the private home of a family or individual. Individuals enjoy living in a family setting, engaging in community activities and sharing household responsibilities. Host Home Providers create a caring support system and assist the individual with personal care, meals, finances, medical appointments and community connections. Level of care determinations are made annually by the case management agencies .
Program Approved Service Agencies shall maintain or require to be maintained in force at all times, comprehensive general liability insurance coverage for services that are provided directly by the agency or through contract. It is assumed that all providers go through a background check and that all individuals living in the home age 18 or older have a background check as well. Supported Living Services (SLS)

What Host Home Insurance does not Cover

Home means something different to everyone and some of our host homes have families that the person can live with, other host homes may be just two people living together. We support host homes with 1-2 people receiving services living in the home with a designated Host Home Provider. On some occasions, if it is the persons' choice to live with three people receiving services, Overture and the Case Management agency may work with that host home to get a three person waiver to allow for this living arrangement. • AbleLight’s shared living arrangement, also known as a Host Home, provides a family like support environment for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Additionally all potential Host Home Providers are required to participate in Laradon’s Host Home Provider orientation. During the orientation, individuals will learn about the various policies and procedures regarding residential documentation, monitoring, quality standards and other related topics. The stipend varies based on the needs of the individual you support. In addition, the individual also pays a monthly contracted fee for room and board.
